About Me
I just wanted to write a quick note to let everyone know who I am and what this site/blog is all about.
My name is Jennifer. I am a mother of 2 girls, wife to 1 husband, a work-at-home mom, Certified Lifestyle & Weight Management Coach, and maybe soon to be a personal trainer (like I don’t have enough on my plate!). I created this site because I know how overwhelming and confusing weight loss can be, especially nowadays when a new “diet” comes on the market every day (or so it seems). I am a 2-time “loser” in that I have gained considerable amounts of weight during two pregnancies and have successfully lost the weight without starving myself, without deprivation, and a lot of hard work. I lost the 80 pounds I gained during my first pregnancy and the 75 pounds I gained during my second pregnancy. I won’t say that it was easy because it wasn’t, but I want to let people know it is definitely doable. If I can do it, anyone can!
I also know how easy it is to gain weight. I lost my father in November of 2005, and without changing anything, I started gaining weight. I immediately gained 18 lbs. from 11/12 to 12/15 of ‘05 without eating more but actually eating less! One of my brothers unexpectedly passed away two and a half months after my father. I gained even more weight, making it a total of 39 lbs. over the course of a few months. Yikes! Needless to say, I had a lot of healing to do both emotionally and mentally before I even thought about healing myself physically.
I have studied and researched and stayed current with the weight loss/fitness/health industry for a little over 10 years now. For some strange reason, it fascinates me and I love to share what I have learned.
