I’ll admit I’ve never been a fan of the Atkins Diet.  Yes, I read the book, and no, I didn’t try it.  At the time that I read the Atkins book, I wasn’t looking to lose weight.  I was just interested in finding out more since I had heard so much about it (both good and bad).  If I keep reading success stories like the one I read this morning, I may change my mind at some point.

I found a story about an Iowa man who lost 200 lbs. on the Atkins plan and has maintained his lost since 2005.  I just wanted to give a ^5 to this young man for having the courage to overcome his weight problems and also for having the strength and discipline to follow the Atkins plan.
