I thought while I was waiting for my turn on the Bowflex this morning, I would write about something that I don’t hear many people talking about.

When it comes to losing weight, we have to have a plan of action.  It can be a small plan, but we have to plan, nonetheless.  I mean if we were taking a trip somewhere, would we go without a plan for where we will stay, how we will get there, etc.?  No.  The same thing with weight loss - it’s a journey, so we need a plan.

How will you meet your weight loss goals?  Will you just fly by the seat of your pants or will you have some sort of roadmap to success?  I prefer to have a roadmap outlining exactly how and what I am going to do to reach my goal.  Creating this weight loss roadmap is not hard:  just sit down, write down what your goal is (I would suggest starting out with small, attainable goals), and write down how you intend to do it - by cutting refined sugar from your diet?  Starting an exercise program?  Drinking more water?  What exactly are you going to do?  Once you have this written down, it’s easier to stick with it.  Don’t forget that “slow and steady wins the race.”  This isn’t about losing huge amounts of weight in the smallest amount of time.  It’s about making and reaching your goals and feeling successful when you do it!  Once you meet one goal, go right ahead and set another, then another.

Do you have a weight loss success story?  If so, please feel free to post about it or send me an email at weightlo@weightlossinfocenter.com and I will be happy to post it for you.  I would love to hear about it and I’m sure my readers would too.

Have a great and healthy day!
