So yesterday I actually exercised for the first time in months.  Now, I decided not to do the Beachbody because it was the middle of the week.  Strange, I know, but when I start any exercise program, I like to do it on a Monday.  It’s easier for me to keep track.  So instead of Beachbody, I walked on the treadmill.  I was aiming for 1 mile in 15 minutes, but it took me 17:02 minutes.  Not too shabby for someone that has been pretty much inactive for the past few months.  I did get winded, which is good.  That let’s me know I am doing some work.  I had totally forgotten how empowered I feel when I exercise!  How much I love to get my heart pumping and to sweat!  Woooo-hoooo!  I used to weight train and nothing made me feel more empowered than lifting those weights.  I can’t wait to get back into that again.  The Bowflex is still sitting here waiting for my husband to put it together, but that’s okay, I can wait.

Now on to real weight loss news…

There’s a new weight loss drug out on the market called Zetacap.  The cheapest I found it was on eBay! for $67.  I have seen it a lot more expensive than that, though.  Supposedly it’s the “gastric bypass in a bottle.”  So I did a little digging and have read from a lot of different (and credible) sources that Zetacap is nothing more than fiber in pill form.  (By the way, I am starting to feel like that lady from the ’90s…Susan Powter.  She always used to say….”Stop the Insanity!”  That is what I feel like screaming right now!).  Why do people fall for this?  Yes, I have bought diet pills in the past.  Who hasn’t when they’ve been at their most desperate?  But that is why I am so against them!  They are nothing more than glorified caffeine, usually, and now they’re glorified fiber.  UGH!  Come on, people, stop buying this stuff!  I know what it feels like to be desperate, so take my advice…eat right, drink lots of water, and exercise at least 1/2 an hour a day.  You will see results!  Yes, you must be patient, but would you rather be patient and have money in your pocket or be not patient and have your pockets empty from spending all your hard earned money on junk?  It seems like more and more people are looking for an easy way to lose weight and to be healthy, but diet pills are NOT going to do that for you!  Only you can do that and yes, it’s work (just what you wanted to hear, right?).  But I have found that the best things in life aren’t always easy.
